Hollywood News and Blues

Well after the sadness of the Jett Travolta story yesterday, we are going to talk about love and babies because that seems to be the big news in Hollywood today. Let’s start with Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn who welcomed fraternal twin girls on December 28th. And yes, you can be rest assured they have selected some interesting names, good enough to have those girls fitting right into the Hollywood scene. First off, the girls each have 3 names, not including their last names, that both end with flowers. Have I peaked your curiosity…. Charlie (named after Jerry’s twin brother) Tamara Tulip, and Dolly (yes as in Parton) Rebecca Rose. Need I say more? Mom and babies are all doing well.

Happy news for Tim Allen and his wife of 2 years…they are expecting a baby this spring. This will be the couple’s first baby and will join a teenage sister from Tim’s first marriage. Speaking of happy news for Tim, Toy Story 3 is due out in 2010!
If you are a Dancing with the Stars fan, good news for Karina Smirnoff who got engaged on New Years Eve to her boyfriend of less then 6 months, Maksim Chmerkovskiy. They are both dancing in the Dancing with the Stars winter tour. Congratulations Karina!
Since it can’t all be happy ending in Hollywood, I will share a few of the break up from the weekend as well. I have to say I was a bit surprised by this one, but Jennifer Love Hewitt, from the Ghost Whisperer, and her fiancée of 2 years have broken up. Patricia Arquette, of Medium, and her husband of 2 years are heading to divorce court. The two have a 5 year old daughter together. And last but not least a pregnant Kelly Rutherford, from Gossip Girls, is also filing for divorce. She and her millionaire husband have also been married just 2 years and have a 2 year old son together. So I seem to be seeing a pattern here, the stars can’t seem to commit much past 2 years and have a flair for the dramatic either getting engaged over the holidays or divorced. Come on people have you heard of for better or for worse. Give it the old college try, you have kids involved here and you can’t be with your loved one for more then 2 years. Marriage is hard so work it out!!
