Two of the greatest vocal groups of all time will be coming together again this year to do their Surf and Soul tour. The Beach Boys and The Temptations are two American groups that have been performing for a combined total of nearly a hundred years so if anyone is wondering if this show is going to be worth the money, IT IS. Anyone with that much musical know-how and experience that’s still in the music biz will put on a show the whole world will be talking about!
The Temptations sometimes called the Tempts or Temps achieved their fame as one of the most successful acts to record for Motown Records. The group’s repertoire has included, R&B, doo wop, funk, disco, soul and adult contemporary music. Formed originally as The Elgins, The Temptations have always featured at least five male vocalists/dancers and have become recognized for their choreography, distinct harmonies, and onstage suits. They have also been attributed with influencing soul music as much as The Beatles were said to influence pop and rock music. The Temptations still continue to perform and record for Universal Records with the one living original member, co-founder Otis Williams still in the line-up. You can get your Surf and Soul Tour tickets here!
The Beach Boys, Iconic Southern California band were the original “boy band” they rose to popularity with their laid back surfer rock music. They became music icons after cultivating a complex and groundbreaking sound that took the world by storm. The generation who grew up listening to the music put out by The Beach Boys say this group helped shape them and the ideologies that many still live by today. Monumental albums like Wild Honey and their debut album, Surfin’ Safari have helped to define them and the season of summer. Mike Love is the only original Beach Boy to carry on the band’s name since Brian Wilson and his brothers, Carl and Dennis, and cousin Mike Love began singing and producing music while they were still in high school.
You can check out tour dates for the Surf and Soul Tour on vegastickets.com website for all upcoming 2015 Beach Boys and The Temptations as they continue touring and making music for their fans the world over. If the Seattle Seahawks are going to win back to back Super Bowls, they will have to go through the last team to do so, the New England Patriots.
Let’s take a look at some key factors of this matchup and what each team will need to do to hoist that Lombardi Trophy when all is said and done.
Marshawn Lynch- The Seahawks running back is known for wearing down defenses then knocking out long runs in the second half, like the 24-yard touchdown against the Packers in the NFC Championship game. New England really strives to shut down one part of a team’s offensive attack and look for it to be Lynch on Sunday. Most likely they will lean on free safeties Patrick Chung and Devon MCCourty to clog up the run.
Gronk Smash – It is no secret that tight end Rob Gronkowski is the key to the Patriots pass offense, but secret or not, he’s still a huge factor. He is big, strong and can take men with him for decent yards after the catch. He is also great for opening up other New England receivers since he does garner so much attention. Seahawks strong safety Kam Chancellor is athletic enough to battle Gronk in coverage and will most likely be the one to do so.
Patriots O-Line – Seattle’s pass rush will also be key in this intense matchup. If New England quarterback Tom Brady is allowed to actually set his feet in the pocket he can do damage to any opposing defense. The Seahawks will need to get in there and make Brady uncomfortable, breaking up his rhythm and mechanics. Both New England’s offensive line and Seattle’s front seven are playing at a high level in the post season and should be one of the great battles of Super Bowl XLIX.
On paper, Sunday’s matchup is one for the record books. It’s the meeting of two number one seeds facing off in what should be a tremendous display of football on both sides of the ball. Fans of the Patriots, Seahawks or anyone who loves the game of football will not want to miss out those Super Bowl XLIX tickets.
Way back in Week 1, the Seahawks beat the Packers 36-16 at home in the NFL’s season opening game. It was very lopsided as Seattle outgained Green Bay by almost 150 yards offensively and controlled the ball and the clock. This Sunday we will see a rematch of that game for the NFC Championship, yet two very different versions of these teams will take the field.
For one, Percy Harvin who is now a member of the New York Jets had 100 yards in that game and was heavily used on screens, sweeps and slants throughout. The Seahawks have made up for the loss of Harvin by spreading the ball around to Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse, Luke Wilson and others while also featuring a heavy dose of the running game via Marshawn Lynch and Robert Turbin. Defensively, Seattle experienced a brief mid-season period where they were just average but appear to be back to their full crushing selves in the post season.
The Packers in Week 1 had wideout Jarrett Boykin lined up with crazy talented cornerback Richard Sherman while attempting to free up Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb elsewhere. Boykin has since lost his job to rookie standout Davante Adams who should prove more difficult to defend this time around. Rookie center Corey Linsley made his first career start that night and has grown to become one of the best at his job in the league in the 18 weeks since.
Will the changes made by Green Bay and the injuries to some Seattle defensive players create enough of a difference to make up that 20-point differential from Week 1?
We can expect to see a lot of running by both Marshawn Lynch and quarterback Russell Wilson as the Packers run defense was ranked 20th in yards per carry this season. Green Bay will need a big game from Eddie Lacy who struggled in Week 1 with only 34 yards on 12 carries. Seattle is without both Brandon Mebane and Jordan Hill on the defensive line which will certainly aid his cause.
Aaron Rodgers’ calf is another story in this game as his injury hasn’t had the proper time to heal and Seattle will undoubtedly attempt to exploit that weakness. Last week against Dallas, Rodgers was able to stand a bit taller in the pocket as his offensive line was able to control Dallas’ pass rush. The Seahawks bring a much stronger group in this area and will be looking to shut down Rodgers in the pocket.
Seattle is currently favored to win this matchup yet it could be much closer than most think. Fans lucky enough to have Seahawks tickets will most likely witness a great NFC Championship game as the winner goes on to the Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona.
Seattle rolls into another NFC title game with the help of Russell Wilson’s arm and an assist by Kam Chancellor.
The Seahawks are one step closer to defending their Super Bowl title with a convincing 31-17 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Saturday night. A packed house of fans holding Seahawks tickets witnessed Wilson throw for 268 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions. The Seahawks quarterback also ran for another 22 yards.
Strong safety Kam Chancellor had an incredible game at the perfect time. He not only leapt over the Carolina offensive line twice on a pair of Graham Gano field goal attempts at the end of the first half but he also made a play with five minutes remaining that would end all hope of a Panther comeback. With Carolina driving to try to cut Seattle’s 14-point lead in half, Chancellor anticipated Cam Newton’s throw, jumped up and made the interception and took it to the house for his third postseason career touchdown. It turned out to be the longest touchdown in the Seahawks postseason history, topping Percy Harvin’s 87-yard kickoff return in last year’s Super Bowl.
In the loss, Panther’s quarterback Cam Newton threw for 246 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Rookie Kelvin Benjamin had a solid game posting 75 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Panthers performed well in such a harsh environment to play in, but just couldn’t overcome three turnovers, two of which Seattle turned into touchdowns.
Seattle became the first defending Super Bowl Champion to win a playoff game the following season since the New England Patriots in 2006.
The Dallas Cowboys accomplished not only breaking a three-year 8-8 streak by finishing the regular season with a 12-4 record, but quarterback Tony Romo performed well in a big game to squeak past the Lions 24-20 last Sunday. They will head north to Lambeau Field to face a Packers team in their chilly home turf which currently has a kickoff time forecasted in the teens.
This Sunday’s division matchup is an interesting one as the Green Bay Packers were undefeated at home during the 2014 regular season, while their opponent Dallas, is the only team in the NFL with a perfect record on the road. Both signal callers were among the top in quarterback rating throughout the regular season, yet Tony Romo and Aaron Rodgers have experienced their share of injury issues this season.
Rodgers aggravated a calf injury in Week 17 and still managed to throw two touchdowns. Romo’s back appears to not be a problem; however his line needs to do a better job of keeping his jersey clean to avoid any further potential injuries. The Cowboys quarterback was sacked six times last week versus the Lions due to a combination of his poor decision making and a weak line.
This Sunday’s game could very well come down to which quarterback makes less mistakes. If we went solely by experience, we all know Rodgers is the favorite, but Romo has surprised many people this season and may not make any crucial typical “Romo” mistakes down the stretch.
Either way it shakes out, fans with Packers tickets should see a great divisional game between two very talented teams. The winner goes on to face either the Panthers or Seahawks for the NFC title.

Linkin Park tickets are currently available as the tour is scheduled to begin Thursday, January 15th in Orlando, Florida and conclude on Saturday, February 14th in Edmonton, Alberta. The bands are determined to hit up cities that haven’t had a chance to see them play, “Rock music was born in these towns, and for some reason these places tend to get overlooked much more than they should. We want our fans there to know how much they matter to us,” explains Chester Bennington, lead vocalist of Linkin Park. In regards to how the three bands got together, Tim Mcllrath, lead vocalist and guitarist of Rise Against clarifies, “After crossing paths with these guys at festivals around the world over the past decade, we’re excited to finally share the road with Linkin Park,” he further adds, “We think this will be a great experience for all our collective fans.” Austin Carlile, Of Mice and Men, is especially eager to tour with Linkin Park, “We are really excited to be joining Linkin Park on The Hunting Party Tour. I performed the song ‘Faint’ with them recently at the Hollywood Bowl and it was incredible. Can’t wait to bring that experience to all our dedicated fans across America,” said Carlile. “The opportunity to tour with a band that inspired me to pursue music is mind-blowing, and that’s exactly what we want fans to experience when they see us together on tour.” And don’t expect this to be a short performance by the headlining act, either; the group has a whopping 22 song set list, with room for five encores!
