Big Head Todd
Background-
Formed in the year 1986, in Colorado, Big Head Todd & the Monsters is a rock band that has released a number of albums right from the year 1989. In the year 1993, their album "Sister Sweetly" went platinum in the United States. The band was formed by school friends Todd Park Mohr as the guitarist and vocalist, Brian Nevin as the drummer and vocalist and Rob Squires as the bassist and vocalist, while they were studying at the University of Colorado. The band started performing in Denver and Boulder and there they became quite popular. They, then started touring throughout the Mountain States and west coast of the US.
They released their first album "Another Mayberry" in the year 1989. This was followed by "Midnight Radio". By the end of the year 1993, the band started performing throughout the US. In the same year, their first live album was recorded at the H.O.R.D.E. Festival. They then signed up with Giant Records and recorded "Sister Sweetly", which was a huge hit and also went platinum and three singles "Bittersweet", "Circle" and "Brokenhearted Saviour", made its way in the rock charts. In 1994, " Strategem"was released, which reached #30 on the Billboard album charts. They also contributed the song Tangerine to the album Encomium: A Tribute to Led Zeppelin, which was a Led Zeppelin tribute album. In 1997, while they were recording for their next album blues legend John Lee Hooke, was also recording in the same studio. He was quite impressed with the band and played with the band. As Rob Squires described it as, "Hooker has just this incredible presence. He walked into the room and literally everyone was intimidated including our producer and the people who work in the studio."

Some of their singles were a huge hit and as a result have rocked the Billboard rock charts, they are "Bittersweet" which peaked at #14 Mainstream Rock Tracks in the year 1993, "Broken Hearted Savior" which peaked at #9 Mainstream Rock Tracks in the year 1993, "Circle" which peaked at #21 Mainstream Rock Tracks in the year 1993, "Resignation Superman" which peaked at #13 Mainstream Rock Tracks which peaked at #38 Modern Rock Tracks, "Boom Boom" which peaked at #29 Mainstream Rock Tracks.
