Bettie Serveert
In '95 they released their album Lamprey, which was able to garner positive reviews. This helped them in getting noticed and subsequently bagged tour slots alongside the likes of Belly, Dinosaur Jr, Buffalo Tom, Superchunk, Come and Jeff Buckley.
Berend Dubbe, the band's drummer, left the group, over artistic differences, after the release of their album, Dust Bunnies and the Velvet Underground cover album Venus In Furs. They have released Private Suit, Log 22 and Attagirl so far, and continue to tour Western Europe, Canada and the United States.

Artist Biography - Bettie Serveert
|
Bettie Serveert, when translated means "Bettie Serves", is a Dutch Band. An interesting aspect about the band is that, the name, has been taken from a Dutch television program, hosted by Dutch tennis player Bettie Stöve.
Apart from the name, the band has an interesting history too. The band was initially just a one gig wonder. Vocalist Carol van Dyk, Peter Visser-guitar, Herman Bunskoeke -bass and Berend Dubbe -drums, formed the band in 1986 but immediately after one gig they broke up. After a gap of four years, in 1990, they regrouped, and within two years, released their debut album, Palomine. Their album was not able to create a mass frenzy, but they did, receive low-key critical acclaim in the alternative music press.
