Worrell co-wrote, played, and co-produced Flashlight, Atomic Dog, Aqua Boogie, Cosmic Slop, and Red Hot Mama and many more. His years of wild P-Funk performances, have become the stuff of lore.

In 1993, Worrell helped establish the CBS Orchestra, with Paul Shaffer. He co-wrote the score for Car 54, Where Are You? and many other films. NBC television aired his music, in the mini series, Kingpin.
He continues to effortlessly mix musical forms, he performs for both Mos Def's Black Jack Johnson band and Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains. He also performs as "special Guest" with Clinton's P-Funk All-Stars.
In 2005, Stranger: Bernie Worrell on Earth, a documentary on his life had been released.

Artist Biography - Bernie Worrell
Bernie Worrell was born on April 19, 1944 at Long Beach, New Jersey. He started studying piano at the young age of three, at the age of 4, performed his first classical concert, by the time he was eight, he wrote his first Concerto and performed with the Washington Symphony Orchestra at ten. A child prodigy indeed!
He kept on with his classical studies throughout his teenage, which included private lessons at the Julliard School of Music. He majored in Classical Piano from New England Conservatory of Music. After his departure from the Conservatory, he served as Musical Director for Maxine Brown before joining George Clinton's Parliament/Funkadelic crew. He went on to provide this freewheeling collective, a structural foundation. While working with Parliament/Funkadelic crew, he explored and expanded his own musical ideas.
