The Bellydance Superstars is a renowned and well known professional American belly dance troupe. This troupe was founded by Miles Copeland in 2002. The troupe is composed of ever-increasing number of flourishing and gifted belly dancers. Along with these successful and brilliant dancers, the troupe extensively tour around North America and Europe. In addition to extensive touring, the troupe has released "Bellydance Superstars I, II, and III". These are great compilations of music that has been picked by each dancer. Not only this, the troupe has also released three DVDs, and a feature documentary film entitled "American Bellydancer". As the troupe is increasing its strength of members daily which has resulted into another extension, an ensemble troupe called Desert Roses.
The founder and manager of Bellydance Superstars, Miles Copeland is an experienced man of age 60. His career in management dates back almost 40 years to when he started a group of go-go dancers in Beirut. In 1970s, he delineated Wishbone Ash, Joan Armatrading and all sides of progressive rock in London. This venture of Copeland was followed by another project of him which landed him in the turbulent ocean of punk. Sailing in this ocean, he successfully worked with the Sex Pistols, the Clash and Blondie. In 1978, he started working as an agent for his brother Stewart's band The Police. A Sting was born and he was the midwife. Although sooner or later they fell out. The big thanks goes only to the tantric superstar that he now finds himself advertising in this peculiar quarter of the showbiz Kasbah.

 In his recent interview , Copeland told Andrew Billen "I just proved that the public will go for something if it sounds great. And then I started putting out other Arab records and I started to think, ‘How the hell will I get people interested and keep broadening it?' So I hired some dancers one day to kind of do a promotion and I noticed everybody responding to the dancers. It was like, man, this is fun."
The Bellydance Superstars are highly acclaimed by the the local crowd as well as the audience abroad.
Their "American-ness" is starred by the cultural diversity and the Hollywood-esque show which is full of eye-catching entertainment. These shows include a comedic dancing Marilyn Monroe skit. This skit is wonderfully conducted by Dondi. The troupe possess a great collection of young, beautiful, but skilled and experienced dancers in glitzy costumes. Other than performing North American cabaret-style belly dance numbers, last many shows have included a Polynesian number led by Sonia, a Bollywood number led by Jillina, a double veil number by Petit Jamilla, a wings of Isis number by Amar Gamal. In addition to these amazing dance numbers by leading and skilled dancers, they have more conventional troupe cane numbers.
This hot favourite has also motivated an American tribal style bellydance revolution in the mainstream making a formerly underground branch of belly dance which has been started by the illustrious Jamilla Salimpour. Rachel Brice's performance is composed of dark, goth-inspired costumes, curved moves and electronica and new age infused music most of the times. This has redefined the school of tribal belly dancing across North America. Jillina is working as the choreographer and artistic director of the troupe numbers.
