Artist Biography - Beirut

Though Condon is a young musician but he has got awesome enthusiasm and talent in him. He has already released a few albums. At a very young age of 15, he recorded an album entitling "Real People". This album was an amazingly creative electronic record which was admittedly designed after his love of the Magnetic Fields. Just after one year when he was 16, he recorded another album which was a whole doo-wop album, inspired by Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers. Condon has his schooling from Santa Fe High School. He left his schooling following his interest of music and traveled to travel Europe with an aim to achieve his ambitions and shake the music industry. In his journey, Condon was first exposed to Balkan gypsy music specially including the Boban Marković Orchestra. A limited vinyl EP is expected to be released fall 2006.
"Live", in which Beirut will be accompanied by many talented and brilliant musicians like Perrin Cloutier on cello/accordian, Jason Poranski on guitar/mandolin/ukulele, Nick Petree on drums, Kristin Ferebee on violin, Paul Collins on organ/keys/tambourine/ukulele, Jon Natchez on baritone sax/mandolin/glockenspiel, and Kelly Pratt on trumpet/euphonium. His latest release "Gulag Orkestar" in 2006 include many beautiful and attractive tracks listing "Gulag Orkestar", "Prenzlauerberg", "Brandenburg", "Postcards From Italy", "Mount Wroclai (Idle Days)", "Rhineland (Heartland)", "Scenic World", "Bratislava", "The Bunker", "The Canals of Our City" and "After the Curtain".
Excited by his latest release "Gulag Orkestar" and acclaimed shows, Condon is highly ambitious musician who is ready to face all challenges in music and armed with his own unique sound. He is touring many major venues performing concerts and shows.
