Awolnation tickets are available to see the Indie Rock group as they tour in support of Megalithic Symphony. The 2012 tour schedule takes this band across the country performing its particular version of Indie and Electronic rock. These concert dates will introduce much of the nation to the musical genius of Aaron Bruno.
Megalithic Symphony was released through Red Bull Records on March 15, 2011 and reached number 112 on the Billboard 200. Awolnation first announced its arrival with the single "Sail". The song has received over 5 million views on YouTube. It has reached number 82 on the Billboard Hot 100 and would go platinum in Canada and gold in the United States. The song inspired many to search out other Awolnation music. "Burn It Down", "Kill Your Heroes", and "Bot Your Fault" found an audience willing and waiting to devour the new lyrics on YouTube.
Awolnation began as the solo project of Aaron Bruno. He had performed with Under the Influence of Giants, Hometown Hero, and Insurgence, inspiring Red Bull Records to approach the singer and offer him the opportunity to use the Los Angeles Red Bull recording studio. They knew of his frustration working with major labels and extended their hand.
He began working under the name Awolnation, a name inspired by his nickname in high school. He became AWOL due to his tendency to simply leave without saying goodbye. Bruno took to work, writing new lyrics and composing new music, working with close friends to finish recordings. That work would result in Megalithic Symphony.
The lead single "Sail" drew inspiration from the Styx song "Come Sail Away". Eventually he had to choose a full compliment. Bruno remained the lead singer, Chistopher Thorn became the lead guitarist, Kenny Carkeet became the rhythm guitarist, David Amezcua became the bass guitarist, and Hayden Scott became the drummer. This quintet took the road and played tour dates, bringing the sounds of Megalithic Symphony to life on stage.
