Samsung 500 Tickets Held annually at the Texas Motor Speedway, the Samsung Mobile 500 is a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race which takes place in Fort Worth, Texas. Although the Samsung Mobile 500 name would lead to the assumption that the event is a 500-mile race, it is actually 501 miles, given that the Texas Motor Speedway is a 1.5-mile track and the race is 334 laps. There were twelve different winners in the first dozen races, now known as the Samsung Mobile 500; the longest such streak of its kind for any track in the history of the Sprint Cup Series until Jeff Burton, the winner of the race in 1997, broke the streak by getting his second Texas Motor Speedway win with a last lap pass in the 2007 Samsung. Jeff Gordon won the 2009 Samsung Mobile 500 – a personal milestone for him, breaking a prior 47-race winless streak.

 RadioShack was previously a co-sponsor with Samsung for the race from 2002 to 2006. NASCAR's grandfather clause was invoked in 2003 when Nextel took over from Winston as sponsor of the Cup; allowing the Samsung name to remain even though Nextel's sponsorship agreement banned rival wireless sponsors due to their exclusive use of Motorola at that time. The ban was lifted after the 2005 merger of Sprint and Nextel, since Sprint is sold by RadioShack, and Sprint offers Samsung products; the race has carried only the Samsung name in its title since 2007.
