Sharpie 500 Tickets Previously known as the Sharpie 500 as recently as 2009, the IRWIN Tools Night Race is a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race held at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee, and is one of two Sprint Cup races held at Bristol. The other is the Food City 500, but the newly-tagged IRWIN Tools Night Race is by far the more popular of the two. Since 1978, the race has been held in late-August on a Saturday night. Tickets for the race are definitely amongst the most difficult to get, with waiting lists being amongst the longest in all of sports. For 2010 the race will be sponsored by tool maker IRWIN Industrial Tools and will be called the IRWIN Tools Night Race. IRWIN Tools takes over the sponsor entitlement from Sharpie, a sister company under the Newell Rubbermaid umbrella, which has sponsored the race since 2001. The IRWIN Tools name has been a NASCAR mainstay since 2003, serving as a primary team sponsor for Roush Fenway Racing, and during which time drivers Kurt Busch and Jamie McMurray have both won races in IRWIN Tools Fords, while Busch also carried IRWIN all the way to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship in 2004.
