NASCAR returns to the New Hampshire Motor Speedway with the 2010 Lenox Industrial Tools 301. Held annually in Loudon, New Hampshire, this NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race changed its name from the Lenox Industrial Tools 300 to its current title in 2008. Event organizers added an extra lap to represent that the race sponsor, Lenox Industrial Tools, is "looking for users and suppliers of industrial tools that go the extra mile, whose jobs are physically demanding, day after day, and still find time to contribute to their communities in a meaningful way." The 301 has also been referred to as The Extra Mile at the Magic Mile; technically a misrepresentation, however, as the race distance is measured in laps, not miles.

Opened in 1990, the New Hampshire Motor Speedway is located about one hour north of Boston, and hosts two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events each year. Situated on approximately 1,100 acres, the multi-use facility is the largest sports complex in New England, featuring a 1.058-mile oval speedway with a total capacity for 105,491 spectators, and a 1.6-mile road course.

Besides the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 and Sylvania 300 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, the track also hosts the only NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series events held in the six-state New England region. Both the Lenox and Sylvania NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races not only sell out on a regular basis, but also exceed the attendance figures of the NFL Super Bowl.
