Ford 400 Tickets The Ford 400 is the last race of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season and, as of 2004, it has also been the final race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. Held at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida, the race is relatively new on the NASCAR circuit, first being run in 1999. Since 2002, the Ford 400 has been part of the Ford Championship Weekend, and as mentioned earlier, has turned out to be a major success as the last race for The Cup since 2004 when an exciting race took place, with the championship points lead changing multiple times during the race. While the 2004 Ford 400 was actually won by Greg Biffle, in the end it was Kurt Busch holding off Jimmie Johnson by eight points to win The Chase – the closest final margin in NASCAR history. Since the inaugural race in 1999, then known as the Pennzoil 400 Presented by Kmart, the race has seen only two drivers win more than once and in consecutive years; Greg Biffle (2004-06) and Tony Stewart (1999, 2000).

 The home of the Ford 400 is the 1.5-mile track at Homestead-Miami Speedway, which in 2003 underwent the most technologically advanced track-reconfiguration project in the history of all motorsports; a $12 million re-banking project which transformed the track from a flat 6-degrees to a computer-designed 18-to-20-degree variable banking system in the turns, which makes for faster and more exciting racing. The race also marks the culmination of Ford Championship Weekend, which includes the Camping World Truck Series Ford 200 on Friday night and the Nationwide Series Ford 300 Saturday evening, so true racing fans may want to consider tickets for the entire weekend of events.
