Artist Biography - Austin City Limits Festival

 Another milestone for the festival was achieved when it was facilitated with the award of "Festival of the Year" in 2005 at Pollstar's Annual Concert Industry Awards. After having missed out marginally in previous years, the Austin City Limits was able to edge out the competition from Coachella and Bonnaroo festivals to grab the gold. To add icing to the cake, Talent buyer for ACL, Charles Attal was honored with the prestigious Bill Graham Award/Promoter of the Year.
Over the years, ACL has seen performances by more than 500 regional and internationally acclaimed artists. These include BB King, Bob Willis' Texas Playboys to Mary Chapin Carpenter, Ray Charles and Leonard Cohen.
