Like father like son, yes we are talking none other than Arlo Guthrie. His father Woody Guthrie, was a very well known folksinger and so it is very usual that has followed the footsteps of his father. He took up learning guitar just at the age of six. But Guthrie, is not only a folksinger, but also a songwriter who tries to incorporate political messages, with a tinge of humor in his songs. Although his father couldn't guide him in his musical endeavor, since he was hospitalized for most of the time, nevertheless, Guthrie grew up in a musical community and was influenced by Pete Seeger, Leadbelly, and Cisco Houston. When he was a teenager, he started performing in coffeehouses.
