And while 50 will be bringing his posse, Eminem will bring his entire Shady Records family. His crew, D12, is slated to be on the road with him for the entire five and a half week run, as well as Obie Trice, and the newest addition to Shady/Aftermath, Atlanta's Stat Quo. Shady mix tape king DJ Green Lantern will, as usual, ride the wheels of steel.
"Whenever I get together with Em you know it's going to be hot," 50 Cent said. "Right now, I don't see anything that will stop this from being the tour of the summer. You better put in for that time off from the job now, before somebody else beats you to it. Or quit your job so you can see every show."
50's sophomore album, The Massacre, was released on March 8, and, as of press time, has sold nearly 3 million copies in less than a month. Since he's got loot, perhaps he'll pay your house and car note if you follow his advice and quit your gig.
Fortunately, those of us who can't quit our jobs have the option of tuning into Sirius Satellite Radio's Shade 45 channel all summer long for tour coverage, exclusive performances, and backstage interviews. Also on the summer slate is the 2002 Anger Management tour DVD, which features live performances from Eminem and D-12.
