Andsnes Plays Mozart
Leif Ove Andsnes is a world renowned pianist and musician from Norway. He was born in Karmoy, Western Norway in 1970. He has been recognized and acknowledged as one of the greatest musicians of his generation in Norway. He began his musical training at the Bergen Music Conservatory in 1986. He trained under Jiri Hlinka and since then has established himself as one of the foremost pianists in the world.
Andsnes has traveled the world and has performed with many of the prestigious orchestras and symphonies around the world including the Boston Symphony, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Philharmonia, and the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. Apart from his musical skills he is also an outstanding recitalist.

 Andsnes has been showered with Awards from around the world. These include the Hindemith prize he won in Frankfurt in 1987, the Grieg prize in 1990 and Dorothy B. Chandler Performing Arts Award in 1992. He was honored in the US, with the Gilmore Prize in 1997. He has twice been awarded the coveted Deutschen Schallplattenkritikprice. He has also won the Grammy Awards for his Schumann disc. This maestro will be performing Mozart in the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
