Amy Jade Winehouse was born on September 14, in the year 1983. She is an accomplished English jazz/soul singer as well as a songwriter. She released her debut album, "Frank in 2003. The album turned out to be smashing hit and was also nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. She also won an Ivor Novello award in the year 2004 for "Stronger Than Me", her debut single. She was expelled from her school, the Sylvia Young Theatre School, when she was 13 years old and went on to attend the BRIT School in Selhurst, Croydon. She started singing professionally when she was only 16 years old and was later signed up with Island/Universal, under management company 19 Management. In the year 2007, at the Brit Awards, she performed her hit single "Rehab". She even won the Best British Female Artist award. She has collaborated with notable musicians in their albums, such as "Addicted" With Professor Green, "Best for Me" with Tyler James from The Unlikely Lad, "Get Over It" with John the White Rapper, "You Know I'm No Good" with Ghostface Killah from More Fish.
