Lead guitarist Esa Holopainen and drummer Jan Rechberger formed the band Amorphis in Finland in 1990. After they incorporated they needed extra members to make it a complete band so they recruited vocalist/guitarist Tomi Koivusaari and bassist Olli-Pekka Laine. All four of them are masters in their respective fields. ‘Disment of soul' was a demo they did to see whether they are working on the right track or not. The demo was so successful that they won a contract and released an EP the same year. It followed a full featured album, which made them instant hits. This started the journey of a great band to reach the heights. They kept on releasing hits after hits & also topped the charts.
