All American Rejects
The All-American Rejects, an Oklahoma band that consists of Tyson Ritter on vocals and bass, Nick Wheeler on guitars, keyboards, and programming, Mike Kennerty on guitar, and Chris Gaylor on drums. Ritter and Wheeler grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and neither of the two really knew each other in High school. They didn't meet until one night when Nick and his group were performing at a party. Tyson was there, and it took all of a second for him to decide he had to join them, even if that meant a little white lie. Nick's band didn't have a bass player at the time, and when Tyson realized that he jumped on the opportunity to be their bass player even though he had never played bass in his life. Right away he went out and bought a bass and began playing it. Tyson and Nick began writing together over the next couple of years, and eventually the rest of the band faded out. Their dedication to the music and their method of writing has gotten them to where they are today. Most of their material is usually derived from experiences in their own lives.
