Alice in Chains Tickets for Sale

Alice in Chains tickets first were sold for shows in 1987, when guitarist Jerry Cantrell and lead singer Layne Staley decided to start a rock band in Seattle. By the early 1990s the group had become associated with the grunge scene despite using heavy metal and acoustic elements. Alice in Chains stood out thanks in large part to their distinctive vocals, complete with occasional harmonization by Cantrell and Staley.

The group was one of the dominant groups of the 1990s with two number one albums, 11 top ten singles, and six Grammy nominations, but the group always seemed to be on edge because of Staley's continual issues with substance abuse. The group still sold concert tickets to millions and toured heavily to become one of the most popular acts of the decade.

Unfortunately, after winning fans over with Jars of Flies and a self-titled album, Layne's problems escalated. In 1996 his fiancé was found dead and he found solace in drug use. In 2002 he overdosed on a combination of heroin and cocaine. The group disbanded following the lead singer's death, but reunited in 2005. Bassist Mike Inez, drummer Sean Kinney, and Cantell returned to the stage with Patrick Lachman as the new lead singer. The group toured and sold concert tickets, but did not release a new album.

Now William DuVall has taken over the lead singing duties and Alice Chains plans to headline the Soundwave Festival in 2009 in Australia and will play in the third annual Rock on the Range Festival. OnlineSeats will have those Alice Chains tickets for the festival dates and will have seats for major concerts that may follow the summer appearances. Look at the show schedule and ticket inventory on the site and get our cheap tickets to see the reunited act play again. The site will have tickets for the promotional tour following the release the new album this summer too.
