Ahn Trio Tickets for Sale

The Ahn Trio consists of three sisters, violinist Angella and twins, pianist Lucia Ahn and cellist Maria Ahn. All three sisters began the play the piano as soon as they could reach the keys. But while Lucia continues to plat the piano, younger sister Angella has switched to the Violin and twin Maria has mastered the cello. The trio made their first public appearance in 1979 on Korean Television.

The trio have featured in over 100 concerts annually and have performed in prestigious venues like the Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie's Weill Hall, Chicago's Ravina, Singapore's Victoria Concert Hall, Moscow's Tchaikovsky Hall and Soul Arts Center. Their talent has been lauded by critics the world over and their talent is unquestionable.

The Los Angeles Times has said, "A dominant musical gene has obviously left its imprint on the sisters Ahn, originally from South Korea." The Ahn trio truly came into the limelight after they were featured on the cover of the 1987 edition of TIME Magazine. TIME Magazine called them, "Asian-American Whizz Kids." The sisters have also appeared on prime time television and on most of the major television networks.

The Washington Post has said, "Their technique was impressive, and they balanced unanimity and individuality in a spirit that is at the heart of chamber music." Their contribution to music was acknowledged, when they were honored with the Kentucky Colonels Award, a distinction they share with legends such as the late Bing Crosby and Red Skelton. The sisters have released their most recent project, "Ahnplugged" was released in June 2000 on EMI Classics.
