Ace Frehley Band
Ace Frehley is one of the former members of the hardcore rock band "Kiss." His guitar playing skills inspired many up coming rockers and youngsters ti take up the guitar in the 70's. There are also many artists and groups that have been motivated by this guitar maestro. Some of these artists include Soundgarden's Kim Thayil and Pantera's Dimebag Darrell.
Ace Frehley's actual name is Paul Frehley. He was born in the Bronx, NY, on 27th April, 1952. He began playing the guitar when he was gifted an electric six-string guitar on his 14th birthday. By that time he was already a huge follower of the Rolling Stones. Initially, playing the guitar was more like a hobby but as he began to gain interest in music, he decided he would make its his career. Initially he started playing guitar, just for fun but after some time he made up his mind to make his career in music. So he began playing in a local band.

Artist Biography - Ace Frehley Band
|
Frehley hired a lead guitarist in 1973 in his bid to make a band. He was then joined by bassist and singer Gene Simmons, drummer Peter Criss, and rhythm guitarist/singer Paul Stanley. Together they formed the loudest and craziest bands in rock and roll, the band was "Kiss." In 1978, they were signed by Casablanca Records. The band became one of the biggest rock outfits of their time. The sold many multi-platinum records between 1975-1979 and had numerous sold-out tours. But like the bands before and many more after, rumors of the band breaking up started circulating. As they say, there is no smoke without a fire.
The disintegration of the band began in the 1980's when drummer Peter Criss left the band. Kiss till try to continue and even experimented with non-metal styles. Ace then became addicted to Drugs and left the band in 1982. He tried out a solo career, h then formed his own band, "Frehley's Comet." The band started playing the in clubs across New York. Frehley's Comet recorded their self-titled debut album on the Megaforce label.
Frehley also adapted to the pop-metal movement and went on release two more albums. His other prominent albums include "Trouble Walkin" in 1989 and "Loaded Deck" in 1998.
